About Lock 19
Smash burgers?
A smash burger is made by smashing the ground beef onto the grill or griddle with a spatula. Smashing the burger results in a sear on the outside of the meat, which locks in all of the juices and flavor. It also cuts cooking time down offering a delicious burger in less time.
Why the Long Table?
Well what would you do if you got a screaming deal on a former bowling alley floor? Size is important in these trying times. You can make new friends while you eat and socialize. We like the table because it keeps folks off their phones and they actually talk to each other!! As you can tell by the size of the building, We are what our European neighbors would call 'bijou' which means really small in English.

About Lock 19
Our Story
Quite simply we love good food. We started this venture in 2021 with ordering a custom food truck. We built a menu and waited for the food truck to come in. We waited...and waited....and waited. It finally came in fall of 2022, but it wasn't the truck that we ordered! We retrofitted everything the best we could and called it Toothsome. Toothsome meaning delightfully delicious, we worked at creating a toothsome menu. Anyway, we outgrew that in no time and started in on fixing up the old gas station to try to give Nauvoo what it really needs - food options!
Our Team
Jenny, Erin , and Steve have been working hard to
